Amanda is a dancer/choreographer/teacher based in the Hudson Valley/NYC area. She received her B.F.A. in Dance Studies from Long Island University C.W. Post Campus. Amanda is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, modern, pointe, Israeli, African and hip-hop dance. She has studied with Broadway greats Darlene Wilson, Tom Kosis, and Kathy Flynn Munez as well as Andrey Shakhin, Yulia Akopyn, Iyla Gaft, Andy Laboa. Amanda has also studied and performed in works set by Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilabolus, Battleworks, Darnetha Lincoln M'Baye and Khaleah London. Her New York City/Long Island performance credits include; BalaSole Dance Company (soloist), Le Dance (apprentice),Choreographers Showcase 2009 and 2010, Diversity Dance Concerts 2007, 2008, 2009. Amanda has performed at Symphony Space and BMCC in NYC. Her NY choreography credits include "Free to be You and Me", “Anything Goes”, “Carousel”, “Thoroughly Modern Mille”, “Return to the Forbidden Planet”, “All Shook Up”, and “Grease” and "GodSpell" which toured Europe in 2013. Music Video Credits: "Take You There" . Amanda has been teaching students in Rockland and Orange Counties for the past 15 years. She has taught and choreographed for BalaSole Dance Company, Post Concert Dance Company, SUNY Rockland Community College, Long Island University. Amanda has also choreographed many works for her students here at HDD which have competed at various competitions in the Tri-state area. Over the past 8 years, Amanda has choreographed routines that have received numerous awards, taken first place prizes, and been featured in music videos, dance festivals, Hudson Valley Renegades, NY Mets at Citi Field, theme parks and much more.
